As a Virtual Math Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students in grades 6-8, providing high-quality tutoring support and helping them develop a deeper understanding of math concepts. Job Summary: Provide virtual math tutoring to students in grades 6-8, with a focus on upper elementary and early middle school math content Work with students in a 1:1 to 1:3 setting, building relationships and supporting their learning experience Complete curriculum reviews and prepare for tutoring sessions using our provided lesson materials Set your own availability and schedule, with no minimum or maximum requirements Collaborate with our team to provide a consistent and high-quality tutoring experience for our students Responsibilities: Tutor students virtually, using online tools and technology to deliver engaging and effective lessons Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their academic goals Review and prepare lesson materials, ensuring a thorough understanding of the curriculum and content Communicate effectively with students, parents, and our team, providing regular updates and feedback Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in math education and tutoring Requirements: Relevant experience working with school-age learners, preferably in a tutoring or teaching role Consistent ongoing calendar availability, with a minimum of 1 hour per day, Monday to Friday Ability to effectively instruct and engage students, with clear communication and interpersonal skills High comfort level with online virtual tools and technology, including desktop or laptop, video camera, and reliable internet connection Bachelor's degree preferred, but college students with 1+ years of relevant experience are welcome to apply What We Offer: Competitive hourly rate of $18 per hour (non-high school algebra sessions) or $22 per hour (high school algebra I sessions) Flexible scheduling, with the ability to set your own availability and schedule Opportunities for professional growth and development, with ongoing training and support Remote work opportunity, with the ability to work from anywhere in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii Substitute tutors available, should you need a day off or require support How to Apply: If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for education, we encourage you to apply for this exciting remote opportunity.
