Role Description As a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for: Reviewing, verifying, and processing invoices for payment to ensure timely and accurate transactions. Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, resolving payment discrepancies, and handling vendor inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Reconciling invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Initiating and coordinating payments to vendors, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments, to ensure seamless transactions. Preparing comprehensive reports on accounts payable activities, including outstanding balances, cash flow projections, and aging reports, to inform business decisions. Monitoring and controlling company expenses by evaluating payment terms and negotiating discounts with vendors to optimize financial performance. Identifying and resolving issues related to accounts payable, such as disputes, late payments, or missing documentation, to minimize risks and ensure compliance. Performing ad hoc tasks aligned with the above responsibilities to support the team and drive business success. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 1-3 years of Accounts Payable and/or General Accounting experience, or equivalent, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Excellent verbal, written, and English communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, colleagues, and management. Flexibility to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within US operating hours, with a strong ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software, including QuickBooks, SAP, or other relevant software. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis, to drive business insights and inform decision-making. A strong working knowledge of accounting software and tools, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies. An in-depth understanding of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and account reconciliation, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certifications are a plus, but not required.
