As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving success by managing a team of collections and claims specialists, pursuing collections of past due amounts, and establishing, monitoring, and improving associated processes and reporting. Job Summary We are looking for a seasoned professional to lead our Accounts Receivable team, ensuring timely and accurate recording, collection, reconciliation, and reporting of accounts receivable. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and experience in managing teams and processes. Responsibilities Manage a team of collections and claims specialists to achieve timely and accurate accounts receivable recording, collection, reconciliation, and reporting. Provide weekly accounts receivable reports to the CFO, communicating the company's accounts receivable and future cash flow projections. Oversee collection activities, including sending inquiries, communicating with customers, and managing and supporting the team. Pursue process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the accounts receivable department. Maintain accurate records and reconciliations of healthcare claims billings, cash receipts, and receivables by location. Establish and maintain collections processes, including procedures and contacts with customers. Design, maintain, and distribute accurate reports providing insights on accounts receivable, aging, overpayments, etc. Responsible for hiring, training, management, and coaching of staff. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 5+ years of increasingly responsible management and supervisor experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of accounting experience, including billing and collections procedures. Accounts Receivable knowledge and experience. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Proficient in Excel with advanced functions, such as pivot tables, vlookups, and macros.
