We're seeking a highly skilled and innovative Principal Experience Designer to join our team at Verizon. As a key member of our Experience Design team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the customer experience, working on high-profile projects that touch millions of daily customer interactions across our omnichannel ecosystem. In this role, you will envision and create end-to-end customer experiences for various consumer-facing products and services, blending strategic thinking, design expertise, and leadership skills. You will partner with cross-disciplinary teams to create strategies and processes that benefit the user and drive successful business outcomes. As a thought leader within the Design organization, you will develop a clear point of view, mentor team members, and elevate design dialogue across the company. Your responsibilities will include: Actively exploring user context and engaging in target user activities to inform design decisions Participating in insight-gathering activities and creating design solutions that leverage user insights Staying updated on Verizon's business, strategy, and organizational structure to inform design decisions Communicating project plans, goals, and expected outcomes to stakeholders Presentation of work and engagement in constructive dialogue with stakeholders to ensure strong design rationale Providing mentorship in areas of expertise and ramping up new team members Identifying project needs and engaging stakeholders in conversation to fully understand needs Leading a cross-disciplinary team in problem-solving and facilitating design activities Establishing best practices and ensuring the use of shared tools and systems to shape design solutions We're looking for a talented individual with: Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience 8+ years of relevant experience in experience design, demonstrated through work and/or military experience, or specialized training Experience with Agile software delivery environments and common design software (Figma, Adobe, etc.) Strong portfolio of professional work and experience contributing to multiple design programs or shipped products with a large user base In return for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary range of $136,000 - $253,000 annually, depending on location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.
